Honoring Our Heroes

For the past five years Pine Needle Quilters have been making quilts for soldiers.  Sometimes they have gone to those who have been wounded, sometimes to those who are just far away from home.
This year we made 55 quilts to be given away to soldiers.  These quilts were displayed in the Mountain, Wisconsin Memorial Day Parade, as well as at Tabor Church following the local Veternans Cemetery Service.  The quilts will also be on display at our quilt show in Suring on Oct. 6, 2012.
Since we have starting this program our total quilts given to soldiers is 328!  Thank you to all of you who have so generously given over these past years.  I am sure our gifts of quilts have brought a lot of comfort and happiness over the years.

Pine Needle Quilters remember those who serve and have served.

Thank you to our helpers of all ages!

A nice turn out for the parade.

What a breathtaking assortment of quilts displayed at the church.

Thank you to all who made quilts, or helped in anyway with the parade and display at the church.  They will make a really nice addition to our quilt show this fall as well.
