See the Winning Quilts from Des Moines

You can check out the beautiful quilts here: See the Winning Quilts from Des Moines

Last week Deb, Carol, Deanna and I went down to the AQS Show in Des Moines.  It was a great show and a great get-away as well.  The Des Moines guild also had their quilt show in conjunction with the AQS show, so that was a bonus.

Country gals go to the "Big City"

On our way down we stopped at the Amana Colonies in Iowa, where they have a lot of neat things to see, like a woolen mill, basket and broom makers, artists that work in copper, and many other neat things.  (and naturally quilt shops!
Other fun stops on our trip were Fons and Porter in Winterset, as well as covered bridges, and the worlds largest rocking chair!

What a great time with great quilting friends.
