Oconto County Barn Quilts

Thank you to Kay for a most enjoyable and informative presentation on the Oconto County Barn Quilt project.
If you are traveling about the county and would like to find a Barn Quilt Trail in another state, you will find an interactive map at this site.  You will also find a lot of information on the history of the Barn Quilt Movement as well as information on Suzi Parron-Smith who has written books about this subject, of which the Oconto County Barn Quilt Trail is included.  The group was also featured in an issue of Country magazine, here you will find an excerpt of that article.
Kay told us how the clients of New View Industries do the painting of the Barn Quilts, and that the employees of Oconto Electric Cooperative donate their time as well as equipment to mount the quilts onto the barns.
Certainly a collaboration by many people make this a success!  Congratulations to everyone involved
The Barn Quilts of Oconto County will be hosting a Scenic Road Rally on October 1, which happens to be the same day as our quilt show.   Our Wild Wild West Quilt Show is scheduled to be one of the stops for the Scenic Road Rally.
