Fall is on us and here are couple of quilt shows that are upcoming in our area. The 2015 Lighthouse Legacies Quilt Show presented by the Lighthouse Quilters of Racine WI are holding a quilt show on Saturday, October 17 from 9 am to 5 pm and Sunday October 18 from 10 am to 3 pm. This is at the Fountain Banquet Hall, 8505 Durand Ave. (Hwy 11) Sturtevant WI which is 3.3 miles east of I-94. There will be over 250 quilts at this judged quilt show. www.lighthousequiltersguild.org
The Piecemakers Guild of Marshfield WI are holding their show on Friday and Saturday, October 30 and 31 from 9 am to 4 pm at 2203 E. Becker Road, Marshfield WI which is located 3 blocks east of the Marshfield Senior High. www.piecemakers.org
The photos above are from our sewing day with Sharon V. Rotz. She is such a great teacher with a good amount of patience and lots of ideas that we instantly understood and have applied to projects already. Her use of rick rack is wonderful. She also did a presentation at our regular meeting which was enjoyed by all. What a lovely lady in every way!
We have a meeting tonight and hope to see all there for a demonstration by Donna Kalner in low immersion dying.
I hope to get back to the blog more. It's been a hectic summer and the tomatoes are still torturing me in the kitchen. Diana
