Layers, Quarters and Charms

The Fat Quarter Shop has a simple pattern called Layer Cake Lemonade that would make a fast soldier quilt, graduation quilt or quick gift for baby.  They also have a video for it which is featured above.  The Fat Quarter Shop is also a great place to find those layer cakes you might need.  If you haven't used a layer cake before, it is a stack of 10" x 10" squares of fabric, very handy.

I also like this quilt made from charm packs and of course it is called Charm Pack Cherry.  It too has a video that you can access right at the site.  Don't underestimate the power and fun of a simple quilt pattern. Diana
